I've found here less and less often as I used to be. I'm so grateful for all the friends I made on Live Journal and all I've learned about photography and art. It really is a great community. I'm spending more time on other social networks these days like Facebook. I'll still post here every once in a while, but less and less as time goes by. Come over and say "Hi" to me over on FB if you frequent there...HUGZ

Yesterday afternoon I attended one of my long time Live Journal friend's funeral - Hal or "Latincub" - it was a great service with lots of friends and family getting up to speak on behalf of Hal. All affirming what a fantastic and musically talented guy he was in life. I will miss him greatly.

Redondo Beach, CA Thanksgiving Dinner

I went to my partner's sister's house for Thanksgiving Dinner today - the food was delicious and plentiful. After the dinner we all (about 8 of us) walked down the beach two miles down and two miles back. It was good exercise to burn off the dinner but man was I pooped when we got back to the house. First gluttony and then exercise...what a combo...

This weekend was "Big Mens' Weekend" at the Canyon Club in Palm Springs. A yearly pilgrimage for me and my partners (Note the pictures of friends...well, Jose is my partner...others are friends...). It's a fun event. I've posted my pictures on my flickr account if you go over there and want to see them...

This past weekend I was all wrapped up in reading "VANISHED" By Carton Smith, which was published in 2005. It's a true crime story about a guy that kills his wife for a life insurance policy and power of their successful Real Estate business. They never found the body. The thing that makes it interesting (to me) is the crime scene (their house) is 12 homes away from where I grew up. When it happened in 2001, I remember all the news vans that hung out there for days, waiting for a news story on what happened to the missing woman (At the time noone knew it was that husband that killed her...just that it was an affluent neighborhood and the couple in the home had made millions of dollars in Southern California Foreclosure Real Estate...)

Its an interesting crime story. Tonight when I took my mom home from our weekend away I went over to the crime scene house and took a picture. How cool is all that!
